The film has been viewed online over 18,000 times in 128 countries, and has been an Official selection or Winner at 17 international film festivals. The film and accompanying teaching resources are now used in schools and universities around the world. Lifelines has influenced government planning in the UK (eg through the British Academy and DFID) and India (nationally through NCERT, and via the Uttarakhand government).
