Call for abstracts for the Victorian Geographical Student Conference

The Victorian Geographical Student Conference (VGSC) is calling for abstract submissions from Victorian PhD students studying all aspects of geography, both human and physical.

The conference will run four sessions from November 30 - December 01 at the Malaysian Room in the Melbourne School of Design building. Organised around the themes of movements, thresholds, dimensions and encounters, the sessions are analytical and presenters are encouraged to interpret how their research speaks to one of the themes. All and any aspects of geography are welcome and including those that span multiple disciplines. Abstract submissions close on September 01.

The two formats for presentations are:

·  A 15 minute presentation on one of the four themes. Each session will include a moderated discussion that we encourage everyone to participate in.

·  A 5 minute 'photo' talk, where presenters use a single photo and short presentation to speak to one of the four themes.
