Environments pathway

Few of society’s most pressing challenges are not, at their heart, about the environment. Whether the debate is over food security, resource scarcity, inequality, climate change, or globalisation, the environment is a central component. Humans and their environment interact in both material and conceptual ways.

The environments pathway explores environments in flux, while also emphasising the ways in which people relate to, have impact on and seek to manage the environment. This pathway provides understanding of both physical and social processes, with specific attention to the changing dynamics of those relations. It provides a strong grounding for those who aim to work in environmental policy and management.
