ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes
The world's first fully integrated centre focussed explicitly on the understanding and prediction of climate extremes. We seek to discover the process-level understanding that explains the behaviour of climate extremes that directly affect Australian natural and economic systems. An international research consortium of five Australian universities and a suite of outstanding national and international Partner Organisations

ARC Centre of Excellence in Ore Deposits
ARC Centre of Excellence in Ore Deposits (CODES) undertakes multidisciplinary research in close association with industry on ore deposit locations, formation, discovery and recovery, including: igneous petrology, geochemistry, melt/fluid inclusions and magma genesis, hydrothermal systems, volcanology, structure, tectonics geophysics, and geometallurgy. CODES brings together expertise at four leading Australian and two North American institutions.

AuScope Limited is a non-profit company formed to facilitate the implementation of a world-class infrastructure system for earth science through the delivery of a range of technologies and capabilities in data acquisition, management, modelling and simulation across the geospatial and geoscience spectrum. The Australian Geophysical Observing System is managed by AuScope at the University of Melbourne.

Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub
The Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub is a consortium participating in the Australian Government's National Environmental Science Programme (NESP). The mission of the CAUL Hub is to undertake research to support environmental quality in urban areas. The CAUL Hub is a partnership between the University of Melbourne, RMIT University, the University of Western Australia and the University of Wollongong.

The Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Technologies (CO2CRC) is one of the world's leading collaborative research organisations focused on carbon dioxide capture and geological sequestration. It is a joint venture comprising participants from industry, Australian and New Zealand universities and other research bodies, and Australian Commonwealth, State and international government agencies.

Integrated Ocean Drilling Program
The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) is an international research organisation that conducts seagoing expeditions to study the history of the Earth recorded in sediments and rocks beneath the seafloor. The Earth deep below the seafloor contains a unique record of our planet's history and structure. Scientists study the subseafloor to better understand Earth's components, processes, and phenomena.
